Find structure and inner stability in change

Creating structure and inner stability comes back to one thing: Understand who you are. Understanding who you are also implies knowing your own needs and behavioral patterns.

Here are some more keys:

  • Understand your individuality – understand who you are.

  • Understand your needs.

  • Understand what structure means to you.

  • Understand what inner stability means to you.

  • Understand what change means to you.

  • Understand how you deal with change.

  • Understand how you operate out of your comfort zone.

  • Understand what triggers you.

  • Understand what gives you a sense of stability and security – is it an internal or an external source?

  • All these keys can be used as journal prompts. Ponder on these concepts.

Creating inner stability is a journey. The same applies to finding structure. A long-term view is the key here.

Change is a natural constant (read previous blog post if you haven’t already). If this is true, then the key is to reconnect with nature. To our own nature within. I.e. understanding who we are. If nature is in a constant state of change, we need to reconnect to being part of the change without resisting it – with fear, ignorance, etc.

Fear is a program, not a natural state of being.

Programs are installed in us that prevent access to our True Self. In order to access our nature, we need to work on getting rid of programs. Other examples for programs are limiting belief systems, all reactions and unconscious behaviors, trauma responses, any kind of fear and anxiety etc. – in fact anything that does not come from a conscious source within you.

Programs have no power over you once you shine a light on them, i.e. you become aware of them and do the necessary inner work. You hold the power – remember that. You hold the power the moment you become conscious again.

In order to deal with change, we need to reconnect with our inner nature. Realize that you are a natural being – a being which is an integral part of nature.

What keeps us from being able to handle change in a healthy way are programs, such as fear. The ability to move with change does not mean that you have no structure or inner stability. Sometimes “going with the flow” is interpreted as “the universe is doing everything for you and all you have to do is trust and surrender”. However, I believe that there is no outside force that can really help you. You are your own savior. Understand that you create the change – unconsciously or consciously.

Moving with change means co-creating change from a place of empowerment. Become part of the state of change. Be in the heart of the present moment to create change. Become part of the natural constant.

Here are some suggestions for practices you can use to reconnect with your nature:

  • Mindfulness and meditation: Practice being in the present moment. Not only in the lotus position, but also in your daily life.

  • Yoga and physical exercises: Move your body. As body, mind and soul are interconnected, understand the importance of physical health.

  • Nature and forest walks or any other activity in nature: as often as possible! Create a routine for yourself.

  • Journaling: Go back to the prompts listed above and think about these concepts. Write down your thoughts. This is key: Get your thoughts down on physical paper.

  • Use your own hands: Crafts (knitting, sewing, carpentry, ...), work in the garden, ...

  • Watch the sunrise and the sunset. Get in tune with the day and night cycle. Wake up with the sun and go to bed according to your sleep goal.

  • Off-screen time: Stay away from the artificial digital world as much as possible.

  • Get creative! What do you naturally enjoy to do?

  • I personally recommend working 1:1 with a mentor or coach that you trust and can relate to. I can say from experience that this accelerated my process immensely. Having someone by your side to support you throughout your process and to whom you can ask in-depth questions is very beneficial on this journey.

Observe how these practices may give you access to your True Self over time through constant repetition and discipline. I am happy to support you if you have any questions.

Thank you for reading my blog post.
