Simplicity in complexity

Blog Post No. 11

This reality is quite complex if we consider its multidimensional nature. There is a never-ending aspect of complexity here – and at the same time there is simplicity. To understand and navigate this realm, simplicity in complexity is actually a very important concept to internalize.

Here an example

Let’s look at the concept of simplicity in complexity with an example. Here I suggest the nonphysical components: information and knowledge.

Excursus: Note that I distinguish between information and knowledge versus wisdom. Wisdom comes from within and arises when you remember who you are and also through personal experience during your lifetime. Information and knowledge, on the other hand, must be learned or discovered from scratch. Wisdom then arises through the application or testing of the acquired knowledge and information.

Information and knowledge must be newly learned or discovered. Wisdom, on the other hand, comes from within as well as arises through the application of the acquired knowledge and information in life.

There is an infinite source of information that you can gather in life – the deeper you study a certain topic, the more you can learn about it. And the stream of new knowledge will never end. Think about it: What topic is of particular interest to you? Where can you not stop discovering new information? Has the flow of information ever stopped and does it feel like it's going to end soon? I truly believe that in this world you can always push the boundaries to discover new aspects within a certain topic. And there are infinite topics…

Pushing the boundaries to gather new information involves the complexity aspect: you can choose the level of complexity of the information you want. The aspect of complexity is infinite, the more you want, the more complex it becomes. This reality will bend to your needs. You can always zoom in and out as far and as deep as you want.

The stream of new knowledge will never end because this reality bends to your needs.

Simplicity and complexity

On the opposing side of complexity is simplicity. All aspects can be viewed and interpreted in a very complex or quite simple way. It depends on the perspective – whether you look at things from a bird's eye view or in more detail.

Snowflakes and their complexity in detail is one of the things I have admired on my trips to the Arctic Circle. To me, it is a good example of observing a complexity in detail, whereas the simplicity of the white snow cover is visible from a bird's eye view.

Bird's eye view and zooming in

As mentioned above, you can decide the level of complexity (zoom in) as well as simplicity (zoom out or bird’s eye view) within this reality. All things and situations can be navigated in a complex or simple way. As information can be delivered in a complex or simple way. To me, it feels like zooming in and out.

This shows the polarity within those aspects. It is simple and complex at the same time – based on different angles and levels. The range extends to both extremes and the scale is infinite at both ends. This reality is a bottomless pit!

The reason for this is the fractalization in this world. There is an infinite number of fractals within fractals – this is an endless loop.

The endless loop of the mind

Simplicity and complexity is part of the fractalization within this world. You or rather your mind can get lost in the fractalization because it is an endless loop. And it is important to understand what this means.

The idea here is to collect the aspects of yourself and to understand reality for what it is, without getting lost in an endless loop between complexity and simplicity.

The mind tries to understand the complexity of this reality. It wants to collect all the information and make sense of it – whereas the mind will never understand the complexity because it is part of this world.

Simplicity emerges from the true inner feeling – that part of your innate knowing. This is the element of wisdom. The wisdom that comes from remembering who you are. If you are able to navigate between simplicity and complexity, you will realize that both aspects are extremes on a spectrum – while the simplicity side is mostly accessible through wisdom. And now you will be able to balance these aspects within yourself.

Closing words

On my journey so far, it has been important to walk the path to understand the depth of this reality and that there is an unlimited source of things to discover here. To me, it feels like opening endless doors within doors or walking through endless amounts of infinite corridors – still everything in this world. This is the endlessness in which you can temporarily get lost.

It feels like an escape room where we first have to understand where and who we are. That way you will realize why you are here.

The complexity of things here is infinite – your understanding depends on how deeply your consciousness is able to process the information and how many programs you still have running.

Simplicity in complexity arises when you are able to balance these extremes.
