Truth is not found in the practice

Blog Post No. 9

The revelation of inner truth is triggered through the use of various protocols and practices – eventually the truth comes to you the moment you remember it within.

The practice itself will never be the truth, it will always remain a tool on your journey of remembering.

Defining the term “practice” in this context

A practice can be a tool, a protocol, a certain structure or a mentor etc. – actually anything external that supports you on your journey of remembering who you are. Popular practices are various yoga practices, meditation, breath work, journaling, personality readings e.g. astrology or human design, ceremonies and use of plant medicines, different types of energy work, all kinds of healing practices, … – I'm sure you've heard or maybe even experienced some of them.

A practice should always be seen as a temporary helping hand – but never as something to become dependent on.

The type of practice you choose should be one that supports and empowers you to reconnect with your inner Self. And eventually to become self-reliant and self-determined – without the practice. The goal of every practice is to discover a deeper truth within yourself.

Never become dependent on a practice – rely on yourself!

A practice is just a practice – and that is how it should be seen. Yes, it can be a very powerful and effective practice – and even then: it is just a practice.

Never cling to a practice – focus on remembering your inner truth.

Usually a practice gives you a temporary sense of stability or structure – maybe also a sense of relief. Contemplate how your connection to the practice may change. Is the practice working better or less well than when you started practicing? Do you feel like you “need” the practice? If so, ask yourself why?

Explore different practices and protocols as this can trigger various deep memories in you – which is ultimately the goal. Keep changing and adapting – never get too attached to a particular practice as it can become an addiction. Note that an addiction may be an obstacle to remembering your inner truth.

In recent years, I have regularly spent time alone in nature, as this gives me the mental space to listen within.

Inner truth is unveiled through the insights that one experiences while practicing – a practice itself only triggers the realization within, but is never the realization itself.

Yes, I agree – a practice is very important in the process

Don't be confused. I agree, having a practice and trying out different protocols, tools and mentors is very important in the process. And here's why: We undoubtedly need outside help because this reality is very distorted and therefore we are very disconnected from our inner selves. So yes, having a practice and reaching out for external help can definitely speed up the process – as it did and still does for me.

From my own experience and from talking to others, I can say that practices and external help can definitely support us in reconnecting with our inner selves. That is why these tools and practices exist. Their purpose is to support you on your inner journey.

Keep reminding yourself that mastering a practice or seeking external help is not an end goal – it is a stepping stone on the journey to remembering who and where you are.
